AI Tools Update: manage your fitment data with ChatGPT or Claude
Managing fitment data eats hours of work that merchants can use to focus on their business goals. We’ve improved our AI Tools so that you can connect an AI assistant like ChatGPT or Claude directly to your store’s catalog and fitment data and start asking it to do the work in plain English.
After you connect, your AI assistant can answer questions using live data from your store.
Things it can already do
Add fitment data
Paste a product link and ask it to fill in the fitment. LLM researches the part, identifies the exact vehicles, years, and submodels it fits. Then it writes 23 vehicle fitments via our MCP back into the store. Turbo, GT2, GT3, grouped by year and submodel. A few seconds. No manual work.
Look up product fitments by SKU, product ID, or handle
For example, type a part number — WHLW93525 — and ask which vehicles it fits. Back it comes: 21 fitments.

How to connect Convermax MCP to your AI assistant.
You can find the AI Tools section in the Convermax app for Shopify and BigCommerce, and our Dashboard.

Pick the connection method that works best for your AI tool. There are two ways to connect:
For interactive agents like ChatGPT or Claude,
For headless tools and coding agents, such as Claude Code and Codex.
How to connect Convermax MCP to Claude:
Open the AI Tools section in the Convermax app or Dashboard, find your MCP server URL, and copy it.
In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
Paste your Convermax URL into the Remote MCP server URL field and click Add.
Claude opens a sign-in page. Log in with your Convermax account and approve access. Convermax's tools are now available inside Claude.
How to connect Comvermax MCP to ChatGPT:
Open the AI Tools section in the Convermax app or Dashboard, find your MCP server URL, and copy it.
In ChatGPT, go to Apps & Connectors (shown as Settings → Connectors in some versions). If you don't see an option to add one, open Advanced settings and turn on developer mode.
Click Create (or New App), give it a name (for example, "Convermax"), and paste your URL into the Connector / Server URL field.
Set Authentication to OAuth, accept the notice, and click Create. Complete the sign-in with your Convermax account and approve access. Convermax's tools are now available inside ChatGPT.
