MEET THE CLIENT

KW automotive North America leads the way in aftermarket suspension technology. The company makes high-quality suspension systems for distributors and consumers, designed to boost vehicle performance and fit each car’s unique needs.

Location: Pontiac Way
Clovis, California

THE PROBLEM

Managing fitment data manually is one of the most time-consuming parts of running an auto parts store. With the Convermax search engine, merchants no longer have to map products by hand. Our system uses the fitment data you already have, matches it to your products, and keeps everything up to date as your catalog changes.

For KW automotive, this helped bring together a fitment setup that had changed and grown over many years.

Before Convermax, we used our own in-house fitment system powered by the AAIA database, where we manually assigned fitment data and product notes. We later transitioned to PDM Automotive so all of our fitment data could be managed in one place, making it easier to maintain and allowing our resellers to access the same data.

WHAT WE DID

Precision was important for KW automotive, so a basic three-field search was not enough. We created a unique Year-Make-Model selector that appears from the right side of the screen and goes beyond the usual options. Shoppers also choose Submodel, Drive Type, Engine, Body Type, and details like Electronic Damper Control. When possible, we preselect some options based on earlier choices, which keeps the process quick and easy.

Convermax has significantly improved search visibility through the use of qualifiers and the ability to customize the search experience for our specific product lineup.

This level of detail leads to better accuracy. Customers can find the exact product they need by using specific qualifiers and product features, including lowering rates and vehicle-specific options like EDC, Nose Lift, and Magnetic Ride. Instead of guessing if a part will fit, they can choose compatible products with confidence.

We also updated the Verify Fitment widget on the product page to better match the store's style. Instead of the usual message, like "Fits your 2012 Chevrolet Camaro," it now says "Guaranteed fit."

Navigation was built around categories and subcategories. When visitors land on a category page, they can scroll through a subcategories carousel to continue browsing the store, making it easy to continue their shopping journey.
