FITMENT DATA

Mix of custom fitment data, Turn 14 Distribution, SEMA Data, ASAP Network, and PDM Automotive. These sources are combined and used together to power fitment-based search and navigation across the store.

Over a 90-day period following launch, sales increased by approximately 30%. When comparing year-over-year performance for the same period, overall sales were up 51%. The improved search accuracy, filtering, and fitment-driven navigation directly contributed to better product discovery and stronger conversion performance.

WHAT WE DID

West Coast Corvettes is not a general auto parts store. It’s a specialty store focused exclusively on parts and accessories for the Chevrolet Corvette.

One of the key differences is how the store organizes its catalog. West Coast Corvette has a dedicated collection page for every Corvette generation. The West Coast Corvette team manually curates the model collections based on year ranges.

Based on this structure, Convermax generates Collection Pages and Subcategory Pages. These serve two purposes: help customers browse parts by generation and create SEO-friendly pages that can be indexed by search engines.

From each model collection, shoppers can continue navigating into more specific categories. For example, the path may look like this:

C7 Corvette Collection → C7 Corvette Brakes → C6 Corvette Brakes Packages.

The West Coast Corvettes team customized the default Convermax subcategory tiles so they match the design of their website while keeping the same navigation logic.

There was some internal effort required, mainly around organizing and validating product data, tags, and fitment attributes, but the Convermax team made the process far easier than expected. Alex and the support team were very hands-on, responsive, and clear with their guidance throughout onboarding. They answered questions quickly and helped us work through edge cases, which reduced our internal workload and shortened the learning curve significantly.

Before switching to Convermax, the store used Algolia for search and filtering. While Algolia handled basic keyword search well, it didn’t provide the structured navigation and fitment-driven experience required for an automotive catalog. Customers could search for products, but the system wasn’t built around vehicle compatibility, which made it harder to guide shoppers to the right part.

Convermax was a better fit because it’s designed specifically for auto parts stores and can handle complex, fitment-heavy catalogs.

During this same period, our catalog expanded substantially. We added a large volume of new products, brands, and categories, which increased both the size and complexity of the store. That expansion made advanced filtering and guided search even more important, because customers needed better tools to quickly locate exact-fit parts and accessories.
